THE PROJECT

Information Center for the Walking Trails & Natural Resources Network of Lesvos

The project concerns the presentation of the comparative advantages of Lesvos using new innovative applications (VR-Virtual Reality & AR-Augmented Reality) of virtual reality and augmented reality.

It includes the digitization of the Walking Trails Network and natural resources of Lesvos, researching and documenting the trails and creating special presentation software of the Network.

Specifically, the creation of Presentation Software of the Network and its Trails by recording the data on a Digital Platform open to the public to extract information on at least 20 walking trails of Lesvos in various versions.

System Development Actions

For the needs of system development and data collection and documentation, the following actions were taken:

Gathering Material

Gathering and evaluation of the existing projection and documentation material of the existing walking trails.

Collection of Trails Material

Photography of landscapes, monuments and sights of each trail as well as general topographical features for orientation or landscape recognition purposes.

Cartographic Data

Design and creation of cartographic data where specific elements are captured.

Digitization

Digitization and digital processing of material: creation of the digital files and processing of the selected photos.

Single Database

Capture of existing trails in a single database created with uniform specifications.

Management system

User trail data management system.

ELEA AMKE (CHAMBER LESBIAN DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY - CIVIL NON-PROFIT SOCIETY) is governed by No 4497/2017, which concerns the Civil Societies of the Chambers, whose purpose is to simplify the public service procedures of the entrepreneur but also to satisfy the chamber objective , and is co-located with the Chamber of Lesvos, at 71 P. Kountourioti Street.

The objectives of the company are:

The implementation of any form of co-financed programs

The promotion of business innovation and extroversion,
The planning, submission, implementation, encouragement, support of actions, actions, initiatives and events,
